Test shots with the 40D, and 5DmkII with the MP-E and MT24EX, the 40D before and after with firmware upgrade, from 1.0.8 to 1.1.1.

All shots with no processing, straight out of the camera, converted from RAW via LightRoom 2.2.

In the last shots, the old 5D was thrown into the battle, and won a clear victory. Still, I had to work harder than before the firmware upgrade to find a scene that the 40D would  overexpose grossly.
